Gülsen has an extensive background in business planning and execution, specifically in operating environments that demand rigorous planning and management of expenses to enable profitable growth. Drawing on over two decades of professional experience, Gülsen has an unmatched reputation for leading publicly traded and private equity- backed companies to success globally.
She was most recently the chief financial officer at Bionano Genomics (BNGO), where she was instrumental in reducing operating expenses and cash burn while maintaining significant revenue growth. Prior to Bionano, Gülsen was Chief Financial Officer at Northern Data (NB2.DE), where she created and implemented a global finance structure to enable fast growth and Chief Financial Officer, East Region and Healthcare IT at Quest Diagnostics (DGX), Quest’s largest region, where she drove market expansion and operational efficiencies. Before Quest, Gülsen established an impressive track record of transformative and growth-oriented leadership across a diverse range of organizations including FedEx (FDX), United Airlines (UAL), A&P, Jackson Hewitt and AIG (AIG), where she held senior leadership roles in strategic planning, financial planning and analysis, capital planning and corporate strategy.
Gülsen holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from Bosphorus University in Istanbul Turkey and an MBA from Terry College of Business at University of Georgia.
